Remembering the fallen

Y6 Representation at the Stopsley act of Remembrance

This morning, six Y6 children accompanied Mrs Prowle and Mrs Sharpe to St Thomas' Church in Stopsley to take part in this year's Remembrance service. The children confidently read verses from Ecclesliastes Ch.3 to the large congregation and were invited to light a candle of Remembrance as well. Following the service we walked to the war memorial where we joined representatives from other schools and community groups as well as ex-servicemen, members of the Police and Fire Brigade and local dignitaries for the two minutes' silence at 11 o'clock.  All of the children were a credit to the school and should be very proud of themselves. Well done!
