Cyber Choices Online events - Beds Police

There are still opportunities to register and take part in the Beds Police Cyber Choices online sessions for this year.

The Eastern Regions Special Operations Unit (ERSOU) Cyber Protect and Cyber Choices team linked to Bedfordshire Police are once more delivering their very popular FREE online education sessions focusing on parents and carers around the cyber world. There are multiple dates available, as detailed below, throughout the academic year. With our own online safety event coming up, it would be well worth gaining some more insight around this issue and strategies you can put in place to make the virtual world more safe for your children.

Please note, there are 2 parts to these events and you would need to register for each separately.

Parents' Event - Pt1 - Introduction to Cyber Choices and Online Risks

This is an opportunity for parents/carers to learn and ask questions regarding thier children in the online world.

They will receive an overview of:

  • Some of the potential risks that children and young people may experience online.
  • Advice to support parents to make informed decisions and keep their children safer online.

This session will also introduce attendees to the Cyber Choices programme and will provide:

  • An overview to parents and carers on what cybercrime is.
  • What the risks to young people are.
  • How the Cyber Choices programme supports at-risk individuals.
  • How you can refer a young person into Cyber Choices.
